New Zealand star batters Kane Williamson and Rachin Ravindra hammered magnificent centuries on Day 1 of the first Test match against South Africa at the Bay Oval in Mount Maunganui. Notably, the star cricketers led their side to post 258/2 at the end of Day 1, and both batters will be looking to dominate the visiting sides on Day 2 as well to post the massive total.

Speaking about the game here, it was South African skipper Neil Brand who won the toss and invited the hosts to bat first in the game. Notably, after being sent to bat first, the side is 258/2 before the stumps. Star batter Kane Williamson piled up unbeaten 112 runs from 259 balls, featuring 15 boundaries; however, Rachin Ravindra hammered unbeaten 118 runs from 211 balls, including 13 boundaries and one six, which helped them stand in the dominant position.

Great all-rounder Rachin Ravindra came to light owing to his wonderful batting performance in the ODI World Cup 2023 as he guided his side to reach the semi-finals of the tournament. However, the Kiwis suffered a humiliating loss against India in the semi-final game. Meanwhile, CSK has acquired his services for IPL 2024 after his stellar performance in Indian home soil conditions.
