‘Kya baat boldi’- Fans react as Michael Vaughan drops bombshell comments about Australia during ODI World Cup 2023

Australia vs New Zealand is currently underway at the HPCA Stadium, Dharamsala. The mighty Aussies have posted a big total of 388 runs in front of the Kiwis. David Warner and Travis Head gave them a fiery start against the 2019 finalists. The former English skipper Michael Vaughan tweeted during the match about the performance of Australia in the World Cup 2023.

He believes that the five-time world champions have made a comeback in the mega event after their back-to-back losses and possibly can beat India if they meet in the semi-final. Ahead of the World Cup, he said that the team that will beat the Men in Blue in the marquee event will win the tournament. Australia have been in good form and with Head coming back and scoring a century they have given a warning to other teams ahead of the knockouts.

India is currently undefeated in the tournament and will face England in their next game. They faced the Kangaroos in the first match and won a hard-fought low-scoring match against Pat Cummins’s side in Chennai. The Aussies can meet India only if they are fourth and Rohit Sharma’s side or they finish 2nd and 3rd, respectively.

Vaughan tweeted saying, “The Aussies are starting to look ominous .. now Travis head is back they are the team who could beat the hosts .. #CWC2023 .. btw I don’t think they will but they could.”

Ahead of the World Cup during the bilateral ODI series between India and Australia, he said, “It’s quite clear to me… Whoever beats #India will win the WC… India’s batting line up on Indian pitches is ridiculous… Plus they have all the bowling options covered… it’s the only the pressure of the burden that could stop them.”

Rohit Sharma‘s side has been brilliant in the tournament. They have won every game chasing in the tournament. England’s form in the World Cup has not been upto the mark as the defending champions are currently sitting 9th in the table with only one win and four losses.
