Star India leg spinner Yuzvendra Chahal has been out of cricketing action since the end of IPL 2023. However, he will be seen in the upcoming tour to West Indies where India are scheduled to play two Tests, three ODIs and five T20Is. However, few matches are also scheduled to take place in Florida in USA. The tour will kickstart on July 12 with the first Test that will be played at Windsor Park in Dominica.

However, while most of the Indian players have traveled to West Indies in batches, Chahal, who is a part of the ODI squad has not joined the squad yet. Recently he was clicked with the South African Chess star Jesse February. February took to her social media to share a picture with the Indian Cricketer with a caption, ‘Finally met Yuzi Chahal!’.

Chahal also has a history with Chess, Jesse holds the title of Woman International Master

Notably, Chahal has also a history with the game of Chess as he has been a professional Chess player in the past. He has represented India at the Youth levels which makes him the first and the only human being human being to have represented India in both Cricket and Chess at the International levels.

Speaking of Jesse February, she is a professional Chess player from South Africa and holds the title of Woman International Master. She has won the South Africa Women’s Chess Championship twice and is also a one-time winner African Women’s Chess Championship. As they both have a history of the same sport, Jesse was keen to meet Chahal which can also be seen in her caption.
