Former India skipper Virat Kohli is followed by millions of people across the world. He is famous on and off the field and loved by many leading celebrities across the globe. Hollywood actor Jack Black has praised the right-handed batter in an interview and said he is the ‘Michael Jordon of cricket’.

Kohli is considered one of the best batters in the world and has been ranked number one in ODI cricket for several years. Kohli is known for his aggressive batting style and his ability to score runs quickly. He is an inspiration to many young people and shows that anything is possible with hard work and dedication.

He said, “Virat Kohli is my favourite cricket player and he is the Michael Jordan of cricket.” The 34-year-old batter is currently competing in the ongoing Asia Cup. After the group stage, the India vs Pakistan match was called off due to rain. India will be looking forward to some Virat Kohli show whenever they take on old rivals Pakistan on September 10 in the Asia Cup. He has been phenomenal against their arch-rivals.

The former India captain has scored 613 runs in 10 innings at an average of 61.3 and a high score of 183 which came against Pakistan only. This year he has made 787 runs in 15 ODI matches in which he has made 3 centuries. With his relentless tenacity and mental toughness, it is clear that he has what it takes to emerge as the Asia Cup 2023 Player of the Tournament in the Asia Cup.

Keeping the ODI World Cup in mind Kohli will be expecting to get back to his form. He has the opportunity to become the only Indian cricketer to lift the ODI World Cup twice. India will play their opening match of the mega event against Australia on October 8 at the MA Chidambaram Stadium, in Chennai. The Men in Blue will play with arch-rivals, Pakistan, in Ahmedabad on October 14.
