Laut ke buddhu ghar ko aaye’ – Fans react as Dinesh Karthik set to do commentary in Test Championship Final between India and Australia
Veteran Indian wicketkeeper Dinesh Karthik will now be seen doing commentary in the upcoming Test Championship Final between India and Australia. The 37-year-old was recently seen playing in the 16th edition of the Indian Premier League from Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). Karthik will be back in the commentary box for the second edition of the Test Championship Final.
Karthik didn’t had a great season with the bat in IPL 2023 for RCB where he scored 140 runs from 13 games at an impressive strike rate of 11.67, which was completely different from his performance in the preceding season where amassed 330 runs from 16 matches, at an average of 55 and a staggering strike rate of 183.33. RCB finished the 2023 season by standing sixth in the points table by winning seven out of 14 matches.
The runners-up of the previous edition, India are all set to take on Australia for the Test Championship final that is scheduled to be played at the Oval in England from June 7 to June 11. The Indian team has already started its preparations for the title clash while some players will be joining the squad soon as IPL 2023 is over.
‘I think he has got his mojo back’ – Karthik about Ajinkya Rahane’s recent form
Dinesh Karthik recently spoke about the form of Ajinkya Rahane who returned to the Indian squad for the Test Championship final due to resounding form in the domestic cricket and IPL 2023. Karthik believes that the next 6 to 8 months are very important for Rahane’s career in Test Cricket.
“I think he has got his mojo back. He is in good rhythm, he is in good confidence, he is always known to do well outside India. It is going to be a very important six to eight months for his career in Test cricket,” Karthik said as quoted by Sportskeeda.
“He has done so well for CSK when he came back. The way that he has batted, the intent that he has showed, he has shown that he is in a good mindspace and that is something that is very important for the batter,” he further added.
