Argentina legend Lionel Messi has overcome the challenge of Erling Haaland and Kylian Mbappe to win an award. Reigning World Cup winner Lionel Messi was chosen as the Best FIFA Men’s Player of the Year.

Since his move from Paris Saint Germain, Lionel Messi has found a new lease of life in the MLS. Inter Miami FC has seen Lionel Messi play some great football as he has found the company of his former friends.

Jordi Alba, Luis Suarez, and Sergio Busquets have linked up with their former teammate. With the new season set to begin, David Beckham and his side will want to win the MLS. Kylian Mbappe too is set for a move away as his deal with PSG is set to end.

Lionel Messi bags another award

It was yet another accolade for Lionel Messi as he won the FIFA Men’s Player of the Year award. The Argentine beat young players like Erling Haaland and Kylian Mbappe to win the prize. The move to Inter Miami FC has proved to be great for Lionel Messi with some amazing football. Meanwhile, Luis Suarez joined the rest of the Inter Miami FC team to have his first training session on Monday.

Erling Haaland is yet to feature for Manchester City after suffering an injury towards the end of 2023. The Norwegian hasn’t been training yet as his side is second in the table. Pep Guardiola and his side came back from behind to beat Newcastle United with a 3-2 margin.

Kylian Mbappe is in the middle of a transfer war between Real Madrid and FC Barcelona. The 25-year-old French Striker is in the final few months of his PSG contract. As the player hasn’t signed a new deal he is fit to move to another club on a free transfer.

Real Madrid over the weekend beat FC Barcelona by a 4-1 margin to win the El-Classico. Current Barcelona coach Xavi was left at a loss for words after the thrashing at the hands of their arch-rivals

With this win, Real Madrid now has moved just one point behind surprise leaders Girona FC. The Madrid outfit has played 19 games with 48 points while Girona has 49 from 20 games. Barcelona are fourth in the table tied with points alongside Athletico Madrid.
