World Test Championship 2021-23
‘Main position toh choose he nahi kari’ – Fans react to Harbhajan Singh predicting India XI for WTC final
Headed by Rohit Sharma, when they square up with Australia at the World Test Championship (WTC) finals, that begin on June 7, Team India will try to end the trophy drought. Australia, India’s longtime adversaries, suffered a setback before the match when bowler Josh Hazlewood was declared ineligible. Michael Neser was recently brought on board to take his place.
The Indian team has so far avoided injuries from the initial team that they announced, the only exception being KL Rahul, despite the news coming from the Australian camp. The squad had been practising at Arundel up until last Saturday and they are currently practising at The Oval, where the iconic game will be played.
Ishan Kishan, along with KS Bharat, are the two candidates for wicketkeeper, however, there has been much discussion over this decision. In India’s red-ball setup, Ishan and Bharat are both raw, which has made the decision much tougher. Ishan, who many people believe to be a better batter than Bharat, has yet to play for India in a longer format and the latter has already four matches to his name.
Before Harbhajan announced the predicted playing XI, he backed Ishan Kishan on his Youtube channel. He said, “I think this will add more strength to batting as Ishan Kishan can tackle the new ball much better than Bharat. He is an opener too and is in good form. So if the second new ball is introduced after 80 overs and Ishan walks out to bat he can play as an opener. Rishabh Pant is an explosive batter and Ishan also has the same quality. Although Bharat is superb behind the wickets, I don’t have much confidence in Bharat’s batting.”
However, Harbhajan’s declaration comes after he supported Bharat in the Playing XI just a few days before. The former Team India spinner spoke about his predicted playing XI as he said, “No, I don’t think so. KS Bharat has been playing for India now. If it were Wriddhiman Saha, then I would say yes, play him. He has more experience and he’s a better keeper. If KL Rahul was fit, I would’ve played him over KS Bharat as well.”

No ashwin
He is overrated in SENA conditions
I don't remember his any match winning performance in SENA.
Couldn't take a single fifer till date, If Dhoni is considered a failed cricketer in the SENA, then Ashwin is also a failed cricketer in the SENA conditions— Mr Om🌬️ (@MrOm14852020) June 5, 2023
