‘Match bhi tha kya ‘ – Fans react to South Africa’s win over India by 8 wickets in 2nd ODI

South African team put in a commanding performance to win the 2^nd ODI on Tuesday in Gqeberha. India had won the first game by 8 wickets last Sunday in Johannesburg to take a 1-0 lead in the series.

Rinku Singh made his ODI debut for India as Shreyas Iyer was released to link up with the test squad. Aiden Markram yet again won the toss and this time he decided to bowl first. The pitch in Gqeberha

The final game of the series now will be played in Paarl before the teams head to Centurion. Boxing Day will witness India and South Africa lock horns in a two-match series. Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli will be back to try and win for the first time on South African soil.

South Africa level the series with an easy win

Put into bat first, the Indian Cricket Team were bowled out for just 211 runs inside the 47^th over. Ruturaj Gaikwad began the game with a four but was out the very next ball. Tilak Varma scored 10 before he fell to a short ball from Nandre Burger.

Sai Sudharsan and KL Rahul then added 68 runs for the third wicket to get India back into the game. The young opener scored his 2^nd half-century in successive games before falling for 62 runs. Sanju Samson was out for 12 when he was bowled through the gate. KL Rahul was out-caught at point for 56 to leave India in a huge spot of bother.

Avesh Khan and Arshdeep Singh hit a few lusty blows to take India past the 200-run mark. Nandre Burger picked 3-wickets for his side while Hendricks and Keshav Maharaj picked two wickets each.

Chasing 212 to win, Reeza Hendricks and Tony De Zorzi added 130 runs for the 1^st wicket. This ended any hopes India had about winning the game as Hendricks scored a magnificent 50. Arshdeep Singh got the first wicket when he dismissed Reeza Hendricks for 52.

Tony De Zorzi got to his first ODI century and ended the game with a huge six. Rinku Singh playing his first ODI got the key wicket of Rassie Van Der Dussen to take home some consolation.
