On Sunday, Daniil Medvedev and Jannik Sinner will compete in the final of the 2023 Miami Open. Medvedev’s 19-match winning streak came to an end in the Indian Wells Masters final. He was defeated in straight sets by Carlos Alcaraz, but he bounced back in Miami.

The Russian easily defeated Roberto Carballes Baena in the second round after a first-round bye. Medvedev advanced to the fourth round after a walkover from Alex Molcan. He defeated Quentin Halys in the third round.

In the quarterfinals, the former World No. 1 defeated Christopher Eubanks. In the semifinals, he faced compatriot Karen Khachanov and lost a set for the first time in the tournament, but won the match in three sets. Medvedev has now reached his fifth final in a row.

He has now reached the final round of all major hardcourt tournaments, including the Australian Open, US Open, ATP Finals, and other Masters 1000 events. Sinner advanced to the last eight by defeating Laslo Djere, Grigor Dimitrov, and Andrey Rublev in straight sets. He then defeated Emil Ruusuvuori to advance to the semifinals, where he faced World No. 1, Carlos Alcaraz.

The teenager defeated the Italian in the semifinals of Indian Wells a few weeks ago. He got his revenge this time, however, defeating the defending champion in a three-set battle to reach a second final in Miami. With two of the tour’s most in-form players set to compete in the final, it promises to be a thrilling contest. Meanwhile, here are all the details of their upcoming match.
