‘I haven’t visited her yet….’ – Mohammed Shami opens up on bond with his daughter
India’s star cricketer Mohammed Shami has recently opened up about his bond with his daughter Aaira, who lives with his estranged wife Hasin Jahan. Notably, the star cricketer has been separated from his wife for years, citing personal reasons. However, Hasin Jahan has made several public appearances and made some audacious and bold statements about India’s star cricketer.
However, Mohammed Shami revealed that he misses her daughter so much and that one can’t forget their blood. The 33-year-old cricketer reveals that his ex-wife does not allow him to talk to his daughter, and he hasn’t met with her in so long. In addition to that, the right-arm pacer hopes his daughter will have a healthy life despite the major rift between him and his estranged wife.
“Who doesn’t miss their kids and family? Obviously, there are situations where not everything is in your hands. But if you ask me do I miss her (daughter), no one can leave their own blood. I do speak to her sometimes. It all depends on her if she (Hasin Jahan) allows me to talk to her. I haven’t visited her yet. I just want to wish her good health and a lot of success. Whatever is going on between her mother and me, that shouldn’t matter. I make sure that she is living a healthy life,” Mohammed Shami said on News18.
As of now, there is little or no chance that Mohammed Shami will be fit: Report
Meanwhile, the star cricketer is currently in the UK and undergoing knee surgery to mark his comeback to the national squad. Notably, the star cricketer was the highest wicket-taker in the ODI World Cup 2023 and was the major reason for India reaching the finals of the marquee event. The great seamer went on to pick up seven wickets in the semi-final clash against a strong New Zealand side to help India reach the final.
“As of now there is little or no chance that Mohammed Shami (who is in the UK for ankle treatment) and Ravindra Jadeja will be fit for the remainder of the series,” said a PTI report on the players.
