The 23-year-old Shaheen Shah Afridi has been called one of the best bowlers of the current era. On Saturday the left-arm pacer was looking out of depth as went wicketless from his ten-over spell for the first time in 24 innings.

The Kiwi batters took a full toll on Shaheen Afridi once they got their eye in as Pakistan’s lead pace bowler had no answer to the assault by the Kiwi opening batters.

The ODI World Cup 2023 tournament has been a forgettable one for Pakistan’s quickest bowler Haris Rauf. The 29-year-old was taken to the cleaners by David Warner and Mitchell Marsh during the previous game at the same venue.

On Saturday it was Rachin Ravindra and Kane Williamson who dented the bowling figures of Haris Rauf. The right-arm pace bowler was hit for 85 runs from his ten overs with the sole wicket of Daryl Mitchell to show for his efforts during the game.

Pakistani fast bowler Hasan Ali was in focus ahead of the huge India versus Pakistan encounter of the 2019 World Cup in Manchester. The right-arm pacer had played a huge role in Pakistan’s Champions Trophy win two years earlier for his national team.

Rohit Sharma took a particular liking to Hasan Ali as he smashed the Pakistani pacer to all parts of the ground. Hasan Ali ended the day with 84 from nine overs for the sole wicket of Rohit Sharma who scored 140 runs.
