In the second game of the ongoing second season of the SA20, Durban Super Giants and MI Cape Town locked horns. In the game, the home team won the toss and elected to bowl first.

With the bat, MICT had a great start with Rickelton and Van Der Dussen stitching together 82 runs in just 7.3 overs. Dewald Brevis (5) was the only player to get out on a single-digit score. On the other hand, Rickelton hit 87 runs off 51 balls including six fours and as many sixes. He has been one of the best domestic performers of the last few years. After him, the likes of Kieron Pollard (31*) and Connor Esterhuizen (17) helped the team reach 207/5.
Keemo Paul took two wickets while Richard Gleeson, Keshav Maharaj, and Dwaine Pretorius took one wicket each.

In reply, the Super Giants had a poor start as Quinton de Kock (5) got out to Kagiso Rabada. The team was further reduced to 52/3. Matthew Breetzke (39) kept the team in the game but Heinrich Klassen and Nicholas Pooran helped the team come close. The former scored 85 off 35 balls including four fours and eight sixes. Before the game was impacted by rain, the team reached 177/6 in 16.3 overs. As per the DLS method, the home team was 11 runs ahead of the game.
