Team India has locked horns against Bangladesh for their fourth game of the ODI World Cup 2023 on October 19 at MCA in Pune. Notably, the Men in Blue can’t take the Bangladesh side lightly, as Team India suffered an ODI series defeat back in December 2022, whereas the Shakib-Al-Hasan side defeated Rohit Sharma and Co. when they last met in the final game of the Super Fours of the Asia Cup 2023.

Meanwhile, Bangladesh star cricketer Mushfiqur Rahim has opened up about India’s star cricketer Virat Kohli’s sledging during the game. The wicketkeeper-batsman reveals that he never sledged former India skipper Virat Kohli, as he gets pumped up after the sledging. In addition, the 36-year-old cricketer has also advised his team to not sledge the RCB stalwart ever in the play and tells them to always get rid of India’s batting legend Virat Kohli, as he can do them the most harm.

“Some batters in the world love sledging and get pumped up by that. So I never sledge him (Virat) because he gets pumped up by that. I always tell my bowlers to get rid of him as early as possible,” Mushfiqur Rahim said on Star Sports.

I love rivalry with Virat Kohli and the challenge that comes with facing him: Mushfiqur Rahim

The right-handed batsman reveals that Virat Kohli always tried to sledge him in the plays. Moreover, the great batsman Virat Kohli is a competitive player who never wants to lose any cricket games for his side. The Bogra-born cricketer loves the rivalry against India’s batting master Virat Kohli as well as taking on challenges when their side faces a strong Indian team.

“Whenever I play against him, he always tries to sledge me every time I go in to bat because he is a competitive guy and he doesn’t want to lose any cricket match. I love that rivalry with him and the challenge that comes with facing him and India,” he added further.
