All teams are gearing up for the ODI World Cup 2023 as the marquee event is all set to commence on October 5 in the host country, India. Notably, all 10 teams are playing their respective ODI World Cup warm-up matches as the showdown sets to begin with two days to go. Notably, it seems that a plethora of cricketers are in good form, which makes them stand out for the big tournament.

Following the same, former English cricketer, Naseer Hussain has named his ODI World Cup playing 11 team, which marks the surprise inclusion of a few players as well as a notable absence of in-form cricketers. Meanwhile, speaking about his picks, the former England skipper has named Rohit Sharma and Quinton de Kock as openers. Notably, the duo sets to open for the Mumbai Indians as well before the latter joins the Lucknow Super Giants back in IPL 2023.

Following that, the legendary cricketer has kept former India skipper Virat Kohli, Pakistan skipper Babar Azam, and England skipper Jos Butler in the middle orders. Notably, India’s stalwart Virat Kohli sets to bat in the middle order, which always boosted India’s innings. In addition, Babar Azam has been ranked number 1 in the ODI rankings. Jos Buttler always performs well for his side.

After middle orders, the 55-year-old cricketer has named Shakib-Al-Hasan and Bas De Leede as all-rounders. Notably, Bangladesh skipper Shakib-Al-Hasan has experience with major tournaments. Netherlands’s Bas De Leede has shown terrific performance for his side, especially in Cricket World Cup Qualifiers, which helped the team seal a spot in the marquee event as Qualifier 2.

Nasser Hussain has kept Rashid Khan, Pat Cummins, Trent Boult, and Maheesh Theekshana as the bowlers in the squad. However, the star cricketer didn’t name any of the in-form cricketers, including the likes of Shubman Gill, Mohammed Siraj, Kuldeep Yadav, Shaheen Afridi, Daryll Michell, Liam Livingstone, Temba Bavuma, and Steve Smith.
