WATCH: NBA’s Sacramento Kings owner congratulates Virat Kohli and Team India after their great win over England
Team India beat England by 100 runs during their sixth game of the ODI World Cup 2023 on Sunday, October 29, at Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow. Notably, the Men in Blue have been in the top spot after their back-to-back wins in the tournament. Rohit Sharma and Co. are currently undefeated in the tournament so far, with six out of six wins.
Speaking about the game, the hosts posted a decent total of 229/9 in the given 50 overs. Notably, Rohit Sharma, Suryakumar Yadav, and KL Rahul played a few great shots that guided their side to post a decent total in the play. However, during the chase, English batsmen failed to stand in front of Indian pacers and spinners on a tough wicket pitch and were dismissed for just 129 runs, which guided India to continue their winning streak.
Meanwhile, after India’s emphatic victory, NBA team owner Vivek Ranadive heaped praise on India’s batting master, Virat Kohli. However, the RCB stalwart failed to make his impact against the defending champions as he was sent back on duck while he had guided the Men in Blue towards terrific wins in the first half of the tournament. The Indian-origin businessmen congratulated Virat Kohli for his great win.
Virat Kohli is messing with my sleep: Vivek Ranadive
The 66-year-old owner reveals that he can’t have proper sleep as he needs to wake up too early in California to watch Rohit Sharma-led India play in the ODI World Cup 2023. Moreover, the Mumbai-born businessman says that Team India should keep its winning streak going to make them feel ecstatic.
“Hey Virat! Congratulations, you guys won again. And you’re messing with my sleep because I live in Northern California, and I wake up early every day to watch the boys in blue play. You keep winning and winning, and today you beat England,” Vivek Ranadive said
“I own the Sacramento Kings, and I got your shirt for you,” he added further.
Meanwhile, Virat Kohli will be next seen in action on November 2 against Sri Lanka.
