‘Paani dedo yaar isko koi’ – Fans troll Hardik Pandya as he says ‘G*** mara ra tha’ to his teammates

Team India locked horns in the second ODI against the Asian champions Sri Lanka at the Eden Gardens, Kolkata on Thursday, January 12th, 2023.

Sri Lanka won the toss and elected to bat first. Both India and Sri Lanka made changes in their side. For India, Kuldeep Yadav came in place of injured Yuzvendra Chahal. On the other hand, Sri Lanka brought in Nuwanidu Fernando and Lahiru Kumara in place of Pathum Nissanka and Dilshan Madhushan respectively.

Sri Lanka was bundled out after scoring 215 runs in the first innings. Fernando scored a half-century on his debut. His innings included six boundaries. Kusal Mendis, the wicketkeeper batter, was the second-highest scorer with 34 runs. His innings included three fours and a six.

During the first innings, in the 12th over, vice-captain Hardik Pandya was heard saying,’G@%! mara raha tha’, when he didn’t get water to drink in the last over. The video clip of the incident didn’t take a lot of time to get viral on social media.

For India, the star bowlers were speedster Mohammad Siraj and left-arm chinaman spinner Kuldeep Yadav,both grabbing three wickets each. Imran Malik snapped two wickets and left-arm spinner Axar Patel took one wicket.

While chasing the target, currently India is 100 for four after the end of 20 overs. KL Rahul is playing on 15 runs from 29 balls and Pandya is playing on seven runs from 16 balls. Out of the four wickets which fall for the hosts were taken by Kumara (2 wickets), and one wicket each by right-arm seamer Kasun Rajitha and all-rounder Chamika Karunaratne.

India skipper Rohit Sharmafailes to impress his fans yet again as he departs early in the second innings. He was able to score only 17 runs off 21 balls on the Eden Gardens, Kolkata which is said to be his one of favorite cricket grounds in the world.

Shubman Gill played another quickfire knock in the second ODI as it looked like he was batting in a T20I game. He scored 21 runs off 12 balls at a strike rate of exactly 175which included five boundaries.

The former India skipper Virat Kohli missed out on a chance to smash his third consecutive century in ODIs as he got dismissed cheaply to the Sri Lankan pacer. This time around he was able to score only four runs off nine balls he faced which included a boundary as well.
