‘Inka bas khane pe dhyan hai’ – Fans react as Pakistan cricketers skip dinner at team hotel, order food from famous Kolkata restaurant through mobile app

The Pakistan cricket team locked horns against Bangladesh for their seventh game of the ODI World Cup 2023 on October 31 at Eden Gardens in Kolkata. Notably, the Pakistan team is still in the race for the marquee event as they have two wins and four losses; however, the Shakib-Al-Hasan side is almost out of the tournament as they have five losses to their name.

However, the Pakistan team had reached Kolkata after their game in Chennai. According to sources, Pakistan’s players skipped their food in their hotel and ordered some tantalizing and delicious food from some famous Kolkata hotels through Zomato. However, the reason was that there was no biryani where the Pakistani team was staying, so they ordered from Zam Zam Restaurant.

The director of Zam Zam Restaurant, Shadman Faize, confirmed the news. The director revealed that they received the order through an online delivery app, and three main dishes were there. Shadman was ecstatic after the Pakistan team ordered their famous Biryani, and he hoped the Men in Green would have loved it after eating.

Meanwhile, well-renowned Pakistan journalist Farid Khan also confirmed the news that Babar Azam and Co. have enjoyed the scrumptious food through Zomato.

“The order came through an online food delivery platform. They ordered three dishes which were biriyani, kebabs, and chap. They ordered it on Sunday evening after 7 PM. Initially, we had no idea that the order was from the Pakistan cricket team but later we got to know it. I hope they liked the food. People from every nationality should come and try our food. Kolkata has its style of biriyani which is very famous all over the world,” Shadman said.

“No biryani for Pakistan’s team in their hotel in Kolkata. Pakistan’s players refused the hotel’s food and ordered biryani from Park Circus Restaurant last night. Pakistan players also ordered chap, firni, kebabs and Shahi tukda via Zomato,” Farid Khan wrote on X.
