Par Pujara to Wall tha na’ – Fans react as Cheteshwar Pujara misses out of India’s Test squad for West Indies tour
Veteran batter Cheteshwar Pujara has been ruled out of the Test Squad as the India Cricket Board announced squads for the upcoming tour to West Indies. The Board has announced ODI and Tests for the Caribbean challenge starting next month where India are scheduled to play two Tests, three ODIs and five T20Is against the hosts.
Skipper Rohit Sharma will continue to lead the Indian team in the longest format putting a full stop to all the rumours about his future as Test captain. While Ajinkya Rahane has been given the role back as vice-captain. The 36-year-old was the highest scorer for India in World Test Championship final against Australia after making a comeback in the Test squad after January 2022.
The star of IPL 2023, Yashasvi Jaiswal finally got his maiden India call as he got selected in the Test squad. Meanwhile, Ruturaj Gaikwad is all set to set make his debut in the longest format. Apart from this, fast bowler Mukesh Kumar can also be seen making his India debut as he has been selected in the ODI and the Test squad.
“The Men’s Selection Committee has picked India’s squad for the upcoming two-match Test series and three ODIs against the West Indies. India are also scheduled to play five T20Is and the squad for the same will be announced later,” the cricket Board said in a release as quoted in ABPLive.
All-rounder Hardik will be seen back in cricketing action as he returned as a vice-captain in ODI squad. While, wicketkeeper batter Sanju has also been given a chance in a 50-over format. Meanwhile, leg spinner Yuzvendra Chahal has also been selected in ODIs along with Kuldeep Yadav, Axar Patel and Ravindra Jadeja.

When Rohit, Virat and Dhawan went out of form in ODIs they dropped only Dhawan. Now Rohit, Virat and Poojara are out of form in tests, they drop only Poojara. And now half of Twitter will debate why Rohit is better than Virat and vice Versa while neither of them are good enough

I think it will not be permanent as pujara will go to the county and hit a few hundreds. Looking at India's test team they have taken wi lightly which might cost them. Just look at India's fast bowling.

Considering how it worked out for rahane it's a great move i would say Pujara's supposed to be our number one guy in tests and he failed
