Pat Nevin reacts to Jose Mourinho getting sacked by AS Roma

Pat Nevin has reacted to the potential return of Jose Mourinho to Chelsea. Mourinho was recently sacked by AS Roma owing to their poor performances in recent times. Following the move from Roma, there are speculations regarding his potential return to Chelsea. The former Chelsea player felt that Mourinho would be the right guy to lead Chelsea.

“If you ask me do I have somebody that I would love to take over from ‘my Chelsea‘ let’s say that, yes, but I have but I close my mouth,” said Nevin as he backed Mourinho to do the job and felt one should not discuss about the same. Pat felt that Chelsea has reached the level where they do not care about who leads them. Nevin added that he wishes to see Chelsea’s happiness and success.

“The club reached such a level that it doesn’t matter who it’s with but Chelsea will always be Chelsea,” added Pat in his statement. The former Blues legend felt happy about Chelsea and added that he would always be happy to visit the stadium which is about 200 meters away from his residence. He felt that Chelsea would always be big no matter what the situation.

‘There’s not a chance in a million Mourinho comes back’ – Pat Nevin

“Chelsea will always be big, and my house will always be 200 meters away from the stadium, so I want to keep listening to the sound of happiness and success. I’m pretty sure it’s going to be like that,” added Nevin. The former Chelsea player played for his club for 6 and a half years and felt happy about it. Nevin regarded it as his connection with English Football.

“Of course, my English connection is Chelsea, that’s the way I see things, as a Chelsea man after two periods of Chelsea and six years,” added Nevin. Nevin was of the opinion that Mourinho deserved a third run but does not quite sit in terms of the plans of the owners. “In terms of the plan laid out by the owners, there’s not a chance in a million Mourinho comes back,” Nevin felt.
