It’s a dream for a cricketer to represent their national side once in their life. However, three such cricketers have played cricket at the epitome of the level, as they went on to achieve significant milestones. Notably, these cricketers have not only guided their side to magnificent wins, but they have played 100 matches in all three formats, making their name in the elite book.

Meanwhile, speaking about the same subject, check out the three cricketers who have achieved milestones of playing over 100 matches across three formats.

David Warner

Australia’s star cricketer David Warner made history by becoming the first Australian and the third cricketer overall to play in at least 100 matches across three formats. Notably, this milestone was achieved when he was selected in Australia’s playing XI for the first T20I against the West Indies in Hobart on February 9.

The left-handed batter, recently retired from Test and ODI formats, boasts an impressive record with 112 Tests and 161 ODIs under his belt for the six-time ODI World Cup winners. Moreover, the southpaw had marked his 100th T20I match, joining an exclusive club as the third cricketer in history.

Virat Kohli

Meanwhile, India’s batting master, Virat Kohli, also joined the elite list in 2022, accumulating 113 Tests, 292 ODIs, and 117 T20Is. The
35-year-old cricketer stands as the quickest batter reaches the milestone of 13,000 runs in One Day International (ODI) cricket. Additionally, the stylish right-handed batter holds the record as the highest run scorer of all time in T20Is.

Notably, the Delhi-born cricketer is the sole batter to surpass the 4000-run mark in the international arena for the shortest format of the game. His exceptional achievements underline his dominance and prowess as a key figure in modern cricket.

Ross Taylor

However, New Zealand star batter Ross Taylor is the only first player to achieve the century mark in all formats, as he boasts 7683 runs in 112 Tests, 8607 runs in 236 ODIs, and 1909 runs in 102 T20Is, further emphasizing the rarity and significance of this accomplishment.
