Prize money for the finalists of FIFA World Cup 2022 announced
The final of the FIFA World Cup 2022 is around the corner as the defending champions France lock horns with Argentina on Sunday, December 18, 2022. Argentina won the title in 1978 and 1986 whereas France won the last edition of the FIFA World Cup in Russia.
As per reports, the winner of the FIFA World Cup 2022 final will receive a whopping $42 million in prizes while the runner-up will get $30 million. Therefore, the finalists will cherish $72 million in winnings. Meanwhile, the third-placed team will be given $27 million and the fourth-placed team will win $25 million.
The quarterfinalists of the FIFA World Cup, Netherlands, Brazil, Portugal, and England will get a total of $17 million each. Round of 16 teams, the USA, Senegal, Australia, Poland, Spain, Japan, Switzerland, and, South Korea will get a total of $13 million each. While the participating teams, Qatar, Ecuador, Wales, Iran, Mexico, Saudi Arabia, Denmark, Tunisia, Canada, Belgium, Germany, Costa Rica, Serbia, Cameroon, Ghana, and Uruguay will be rewarded with $9 million each.
