An India vs Pakistan game always gets the attention of the viewers irrespective of the sport. Particularly in cricket, the rivalry is unmatched. In the ACC Men’s Emerging Teams Asia Cup 2023, India A and Pakistan A are facing each other in the league stage match. Both the teams have qualified for the semifinals and are playing the match for topping their group.

Pakistan A won the toss and elected bat first in R Premadasa Stadium, Colombo. The wicket uncharacteristically had some extra bounce in the first few overs. The Indian pace duo of Rajvardhan Hangargekar and Harshit Rana made the best use of the conditions. The two pacers were so good in the Powerplay overs.

The Pakistani batters could not analyze the conditions well. The Indian bowlers troubled the Pakistani batters with their pace and lengths. Hangargekar, in particular, was so good to watch. With his jump through the run-up, the youngster got the extra bounce and troubled the batters. The 20-year-old operated at a very good pace.

Double wicket maiden over from Hangargekar

The right-arm fast-medium bowler bowled a bit wider length to Saim Ayub. The persistence of the youngster with his lengths was fruitful as he got rid of the Southpaw with a quicker delivery outside off. Ayub attempted to dispatch the delivery towards covers but edged the ball to the wicketkeeper and departed to the pavilion for a duck.

In the same over, Hangargekar produced a sensational delivery and got rid of Omair Yousuf. The Tulijapur-born pacer operated on a good length and bowled a perfect line, just outside off and induced the edge of the batter. The ball was carried to Dhruv Jurel, who made no mistake. Hangargekar was delighted as he claimed two wickets in the same over.

It was a double-wicket maiden over from Hangargekar. The winner of the under-19 World Cup in 2022 showed his capabilities with the new ball yet again. The youngster was impressive in IPL 2023 as well but could not get many chances.
