It’s been a while since Randy Orton appeared on television. He hasn’t competed in in-ring action since suffering a back injury, and he was undergoing treatment. But legendary manager Dutch Mantell has asserted that he thinks The Viper should return with a major transformation in light of the upcoming WWE Draft.

Triple H said that the Draft will happen in the next few weeks at a recent WWE program. Since then, a lot of rumours have surfaced about the potential changes the Draft would bring to the business. Dutch Mantell, meanwhile, believes Orton to make a comeback during the Draft and go from RAW to SmackDown since it would greatly benefit the blue brand.

“Well, I may have told you this before we went on the air today, but one guy that I think the fans are dying to see and he’s hurt is, Randy Orton. Now remember we talked about time and time and time again how weak the WWE SmackDown bench was… But now, they got a lot of strength. You put Orton on there, they are going to be packed,” Mantell was quoted as saying on Sportskeeda.

Randy Orton to face Roman Reigns for WWE Championship

Every superstar, including those sidelined due to an injury, will be eligible for the Draft, as Triple H stated during WWE SmackDown. Orton falls under this. The reality that the star may return to WWE television soon regardless of whether they invite him or not is a truth. Although there has been much speculation around his comeback, Orton’s homecoming is something that fans are looking forward to in the anticipation of what it may signify for the legend.

He may defeat Roman Reigns to become the next champion or he might even reunite with Riddle, his former team. Fans will have to wait to see whatever takes place. The Viper left the WWE after he and Matt Riddle were defeated by The Usos in the RAW Tag Team Championship in May of last year.

To the disbelief of his devoted following, a recent report claims that Randy Orton is “nowhere close” to making a comeback. The Viper will undoubtedly get a huge pop if he returns because, as the proverb goes, “absence makes the heart grow fonder.”
