Ravindra Jadeja breaks long-standing record in Asia Cup
The Indian All-rounder Ravindra Jadeja has broken a long-standing record in the Asia Cup 2023. The star All-rounder has become the leading wicket-taker in the history of the Asia Cup for India. Jadeja has broken the record which was held earlier by Irfan Pathan. The left-arm orthodox spinner has been amazing with the ball for India in the Asia Cup 2023.
In the Super 4 stage, India took on Sri Lanka in R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo. On a slow track, the Indian team managed to score only 213 runs and lost all 10 wickets. On a tricky wicket to bat on, the duo of Dunith Wellalage and Charith Asalanka proved to be difficult to bat against. The spin-bowling duo claimed 5 and 4 wickets respectively for Sri Lanka.
Defending the target, India dominated the Sri Lankan batters throughout the chase. Jasprit Bumrah, Hardik Pandya, Mohammad Siraj, and Kuldeep Yadav were excellent with the ball. Barring the partnership between Dhananjaya De Silva and Dunith Wellalage, India always had an upper hand in the game. The fans were happy with the bowling performance from India.

Irfan Pathan claimed 22 wickets in 12 matches from 2004 to 2012. Apart from Ravindra Jadeja, there is another bowler in the race.
