Reports suggest uncertainty surrounding Virat Kohli’s participation in last three Test matches

Published on

India’s star batter Virat Kohli is already out of the first two tests against England due to personal reasons. The Cricketing fraternity is eagerly waiting for his comeback, after the defeat in the first Test by 28 runs against Ben Stoke’s England. England are leading by 1-0 in the ongoing five-match Test series against India.

However, there are some reports surfacing on social media which are suggesting that there is no guarantee that Kohli will return to the team for the rest of the series. Ravindra Jadeja and KL Rahul‘s participation is also doubtful. Hence, the Ajit Agarkar-led selection committee has plenty of headaches to pick the squad for the last three Tests.

Virat Kohli is currently outside India

The superstar pulled out of the IND vs ENG first two Tests due to personal reasons. As per reports, he remains out of the country with no timeline for his return yet. The personal reason is still unknown but there was a rumour around his mother’s health surfaced on the internet. However, his brother, Vikas Kohli, came forward to rubbish all the rumours.

The Indian Cricket Board, in a statement, requested for privacy on Kohli’s matter. The only good news is regarding KL Rahul. The batter is out of IND vs ENG 2nd Test in Vizag. However, he is set to recover by the third Test in Rajkot. Rahul felt pain in the right thigh. It is the same quadriceps for which Rahul had to undergo surgery.
