India’s star cricketer Rinku Singh has recently opened up about the talks he had with former India skipper MS Dhoni. Notably, the KKR star batter has opened up and revealed Dhoni’s invaluable advice to finish off his game. The 26-year-old cricketer smashed six in the last ball against Australia during the first T20I and guided his side to a terrific victory. Speaking about the game, Australia posted a massive total of 208/3 in the given 20 overs; however, Team India chased down the total with one ball to spare.

The middle-order batter had revealed that he had always admired the former wicketkeeper batter and asked him how to give direction to the game in the last over. In addition, the great cricketer says that MS Dhoni has told him to stay calm and hit the ball straight to finish the game. The left-handed batter has followed the legend’s cricketer advice, which helped him finish the game against the tough Aussies in the 1st T20I. Rinku Singh believes that showing no reaction when needed to finish the game helps a lot.

“I once had a word with Mahi bhai (MS Dhoni) and asked him what is his thinking process in the final over in a chase. He told me the key is to remain as calm as possible and try and hit the ball straight. I have been following his advice and try to remain calm. Showing no reactions. That has helped me a lot,” Rinku Singh said.

Meanwhile, Rinku Singh discussed how MS Dhoni had praised his batting in the IPL 2023. The star cricketer further revealed the tactics and pragmatic skills he got from MS Dhoni.

“Mahi bhai is the best finisher, so I was asking him what the other ways to finish the game he told me, I was watching your batting, you batted well, he told me when the last over is going on, try to hit straight, let the bowler do what he wants to,” he added further.
