‘Saans phool gaya humara yeh match dekh kar’ – Fans lose calm as LSG registers one wicket win against RCB in IPL 2023
It was a blitzkrieg by Royal Challenger Bangalore’s batters as they smashed Lucknow Super Giants’ bowlers all across the ground racing to a monumental 212/2. This game was expected to bring out fireworks as the game was played at M Chinnaswamy Stadium.
Virat Kohli was the first to take on the bowlers as he smashed 4 sixes and 4 fours in his 61-run inning. After this, Glenn Maxwell came in and put a halt to his poor run of form and smashed 59 off just 29 deliveries. The Australian batter hit 6 sixes and provided entertainment for everyone’s money worth.
RCB captain Faf du Plessis also joined in on the act and capped off Bangalore’s batting with a brilliant 79 off 46. The South African batter hit 5 fours and 5 sixes, one of which went 115 meters, becoming the longest six of IPL 2023.
Coming onto chase the monumental target LSG’s in-form batter Kyle Mayers got out on the fourth ball of the innings. Deepak Hooda also failed as he could only make 9 off 10. Krunal Pandya who took LSG across the finish line in the last match also faltered
It was then the Australian all-rounder Marcus Stoinis who finally displayed his worth with a sensational 65 off just 30 balls with 6 fours and 5 sixes. His innings brought LSG right back into the game but it was still a lot to be achieved by the LSG batters. This was when Nicholas Pooran took to the crease and took the game by the scruff of the neck.
The West Indies Southpaw scored the fastest half-century of the IPL 2023 and got the game right into the reach of LSG. In the end, despite losing nine wickets, the Blue Brigade won by one wicket.

RCB seem to have a well-rounded unit but the two seasons away mean they have bowlers who are perhaps better suited for the big outfields of UAE and slightly tacky surfaces.. return to Chinnaswamy, smaller ground , lightening quick outfield and flat pitch have sprung up old wounds

Can't remember an occasion when the strategic time out would have been so welcome as tonight in Bengaluru! #Pooran hailstorm of boundaries making everyone yearn for a drink.. What is he doing?#LSGvsRCB #CricketTwitter

Badoni looks to lap the ball over fine-leg.Trying to be a bit too cute with the game virtually in the bag. Hitwicket to throw RCB a lifeline. 7 needed off 8 balls with three wickets in hand.#RCBvLSG #IPL

RCB surely had few more runs than the avg winning score but unfortunately the spinners ended up giving 63 in 4 overs.Hasaranga was missed badly today.Batting is coming together well and Hasaranga expected to play next game , RCB will surely do well.Congrats to LSG.Heck of a chase https://t.co/GhN96zqy8U

Bishnoi was leaving his crease early. Any silly people out there still saying you shouldn't run the non-striker out?
— Harsha Bhogle (@bhogleharsha) April 10, 2023
If the bowler’s attempt to run-out the non-striker is failed, it should not be a dead-ball. It should be a no-ball. #IPL2023

One of the craziest scenes on the final ball:
LSG needed 1 with just 1 wicket in hand on the final ball. Harshal Patel tried to run out Ravi Bishnoi at the non striker's end, but fumbled.
