India vs Australia 2023

‘This is heart breaking’ – Fans shatters as selectors drop Sanju Samson from India squad for Australia T20I series

Published on

The Indian Cricket Board has announced the squad for the upcoming T20I series against Australia on November 20. Notably, Suryakumar Yadav has been named as the captain of the squad, while CSK opening batter Ruturaj Gaikwad has been named as his deputy. However, middle-order batter Sanju Samson and great spinner Yuzvendra Chahal have not been included in the squad.

In addition, both cricketers also didn’t get the chance to be in the ODI World Cup squad as well as the Asia Cup. Team India has finished up their journey of the ODI World Cup 2023 as the first runner-up of the tournament as they suffered a six-wicket defeat over Australia on November 19 at the iconic Narendra Modi Cricket Stadium in Ahmedabad.

However, following that, the officials have rested a few main players for the upcoming T20I series, and they will be playing the South Africa series sets starting on December 10. The Men in Blue didn’t name Hardik Pandya as the skipper, as the star all-rounder is still injured and set to miss the series.

The fans are unhappy with Sanju Samson’s exclusion from the India squad for the upcoming series

However, it was quite shocking to see selectors backing Suryakumar Yadav despite his extremely poor performances in the ODI World Cup 2023. Moreover, the fans are unhappy with Sanju Samson’s exclusion from the squad, as he deserves to be part of the camp after missing the marquee events.

India’s squad:
