Anupam Mittal, the founder of the famous Indian matrimonial website Shaadi.com made an interesting comment about Test cricket on Sunday. The ‘Shark Tank India’ judge told cricket fans on the social media platform not to waste their time watching the Test match between West Indies and India, instead to watch the Ashes 2023.

Cricket’s longest format is in full swing with India touring West Indies, the Ashes, and Sri Lanka playing against Pakistan. The fans have been enjoying their time with the games. The fourth Test of the Ashes between England and Australia in Manchester, to viewers’ dismay, ended in a draw as rain played a spoilsport in the last two days of the Test. He also shared his admiration for England’s ‘Bazball’ strategy in the format.

England, in his opinion, reinvented the game that they developed 400 years ago. Rain forced the cancellation of the fifth day of the Manchester Test at Emirates Old Trafford. Australia retained the Ashes after a tie at Emirates Old Trafford yesterday. With one more Test remaining, Australia leads the series 2-1.

The last Ashes Test 2023 will take place on July 27 at the Kennington Oval.  He further said, “Stop wasting time on Ind/WI & watch the Ashes … England has redefined the game it invented over 400 yrs back.” The Shaadi.com founder stated on the weather in Manchester, “what a bummer (rain emoji) can we order some (sunshine emoji) pls?”.

India is in a commanding position at the end of Day 4, of the second Test against the West Indies at Port of Spain on Sunday. As skipper Rohit Sharma and Ishan Kishan smashed half-centuries. Mohammed Siraj took 5 wickets, limiting the hosts to 255 runs in their first innings.

India became the fastest team in Test cricket history to reach 100 in just 12.2 overs. In addition, the Indian captain hit his quickest Test fifty off 35 balls. The hosts were 76 for 2 at the end of 32 overs of batting after being set to chase a 365-run target. Ravichandran Ashwin dismissed Windies skipper Kraigg Brathwaite for the fourth time in the series before dismissing left-hander Kirk McKenzie for zero as India moved closer to a 2-0 series sweep.
