‘Shabash Kachra, Shabash’ – Fans react to Hassan Ali’s exceptional catch in PSL game between Islamabad United and Karachi Kings

The PSL produced yet another high-scoring blockbuster, this time between Islamabad United and Karachi Kings. The game accounted for more than 400 runs in the two innings as the crowd was treated to top-class T20 action. Islamabad United ended up winning the game by six wickets with four balls to go.

The PSL has been galore of amazing moments. The game between United and the Kings also had one particularly striking moment. In the first ball of the 19^th over of Karachi’s innings, Irfan Khan lofted one high in the air; the ball also seemed to have gained distance with elevation. Hassan Ali, fielding in the deep, produced one of the best efforts ever seen on the field. He caught the ball near the boundary rope and threw it back to Rassie van der Dussen, who was coming close to help out. While throwing the ball back into the field of play, Hassan was falling down, and the exchange happened mid-air. der Dussen completed the easy catch, and Hasan rolled over the boundary rope.

Karachi skipper Imad Wasim’s 92 off 54 went in vain as Islamabad United completed tough chase

Speaking of the game, Karachi Kings won the toss and decided to bat first. Riding on skipper Imad Wasim’s 92 off 54, the Kings reached a comfortable total of 201/5 in their 20 overs. Tom Curran remained the pick of the bowlers for Islamabad United with two scalps in four overs. However, he went for 43 in his four overs.

In reply, Islamabad United came up with a team effort in batting with handy contributions throughout the batting order. Ultimately, wicketkeeper batter Azam Khan took Islamabad over the finish line with his unbeaten 72 off 41. Asif Ali scored 10 runs off two deliveries, a four and a six to finish things off. United are now placed third in the points table with eight points off six games.
