Fans might be aware that Sachin Tendulkar loves Formula One. His attendance at the 2023 Greenko Hyderabad E-Prix on Saturday was therefore not unexpected. Ferrari 360 Modena, Porsche 992, Cayenne, Nissan GT-R, BMW i8, BMW X5M, and BMW 7-Series Li are his favorites. Meanwhile, the 2011 World Cup winner was joined by Shikhar Dhawan. Apart from the latter, Deepak Chahar, Yuzvendra Chahal, and his wife, Dhanashree Verma were also present during the event.

Dhawan took the chance to test the Porsche Taycan Safety Car, hitting a speed of 260 km/h and reaching 100 km/h in just 2.8 seconds. “This is my first time at a Formula E race, and I am thrilled to be a part of this historic event,” he said.

“I have a passion for fast cars, and seeing the GEN3 cars race on the street track was incredible. The fact that this is a net zero carbon-certified sport makes it even more appealing. It was amazing to see these world-class drivers performing for the crowd in Hyderabad,” he added.

Chahar also expressed his excitement for taking part in the first Formula E race in India. He said “It’s a proud feeling to be a part of this event, which is also the first of its kind in India. With the rise in popularity of electric vehicles, this is a guilt-free and innovative version of motorsport that will appeal to the audience and pave the way for the future. It was fascinating to see such speeds up close,” asserted the Chennai player in the Indian T20 League

The right-arm pacer earned recognition during the 2010–11 Ranji Trophy game against Hyderabad. He took eight wickets on debut, helping Rajasthan bowl out the opposition on 21 – the lowest score in Indian First Class history.

Anand Mahindra reacted to Sachin Tendulkar’s presence

“You just gave us a brilliant tagline for the #Battista Sachin. A car that ‘defies time & lands you in the future!’ Wah! That makes it a Master Blaster on wheels. And what a pleasure to have you with us today.” Mahindra Group chairman Anand Mahindra tweeted.
