India’s star cricketer Shubman Gill showed his lethal form in the second Test as he went on to hammer a magnificent century on Day 3 of the game against England. Notably, the Men in Blue are leading by 369 runs, and they will be looking to post a great total against England to level up the series by 1-1.

Speaking about the game, India’s skipper Rohit Sharma had won the toss and invited visiting sides to field first in the game. Notably, after being opted to bat first, Team India posted 396 runs before getting an all-out in the first inning of the game. Meanwhile, star cricketer Yashasvi Jaiswal was the game star, having hammered 209 runs from 290 balls and featuring 19 boundaries and seven sixes to help his side post a decent total.

However, during the chase, the visiting sides only managed to get 253 runs as pacer Jasprit Bumrah was the star of the game, who went on to scalp six wickets and dismantled England’s batting line-up, which helped India get the lead after the first inning.

Shubman Gill’s great century has kept India in the dominant position

However, India is currently standing at 227/6 and leading 370 runs on Day 3 of the second Test match at Vizag. Meanwhile, India’s young batter, Shubman Gill, had piled up 104 runs from 147 balls, featuring 11 boundaries and two sixes, with a decent strike rate of 70 that had kept India in the commanding position.

Shubman Gill’s knock not only helped India keep in the dominant position but also helped himself to give a response to his critics. Notably, the 24-year-old cricketer was the centre of criticism after the ODI World Cup 2023 final loss.
