Former South African cricketer Dean Elgar has recently opened up about quite shocking talks when Proteas toured for the series in India back in 2015. However, the legendary cricketer revealed a few nasty and creepy talks he had with India’s batting master Virat Kohli during the Test series in one of his recent interviews.
The star opening batter revealed that he had furious talks with Virat Kohli in the first Test match of the four matches of the Test series, which took place in Mohali. In addition, the left-handed batter revealed that he thwarted Virat Kohli to stay away from him; otherwise, he would hurt him badly.
“Those wickets were jokes. Like playing on that… that surface there. And I came into bat and I was actually like holding my own against Ashwin and what’s his name Jeja, Jeja, Jeja (Ravindra Jadeja) (smiles) and Kohli, he like spat at me. I said to him if you do that, I’ll f*****g ***** you with this bat,” Dean Elgar said on “Banter, with The Boys” podcast for Betway South Africa’s YouTube channel.
Meanwhile, the 36-year-old cricketer revealed that Virat Kohli was able to understand his creepy words as he was the teammate of RCB batter AB de Villiers during the franchise leagues.
“Yes, he did because de Villiers was his teammate at RCB, so he understood. And I said if you do that, I’ll … on this field, I’ll absolutely knock you out,’ he added further.
