Sunrisers Hyderabad are all set to take on Delhi Capitals in match number 34 of IPL 2023 at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium on Monday. Both SRH and DC haven’t had a great outing in the ongoing season so far and stand at number 9 and number 10 in the points table, respectively. SRH started the tournament with back-to-back losses against Rajasthan Royals and Lucknow Super Giants, respectively. After that, the Orange Army made a comeback by winning their next two matches but lost momentum after a couple of losses again.

Meanwhile, DC, had a forgettable start to the tournament as they went on to lose their first five matches consecutively. However, they finally got their first win in 2023 in their last match against Kolkata Knight Riders and will look to continue their winning momentum against SRH. This match will be crucial for both bottom-ranked teams in order to go ahead in the tournament.

Head-to-Head

Talking about their head-to-head record, SRH and DC have faced each other 21 times, with SRH winning 11 times and DC winning 10. However, DC had an upper hand against SRH in the last two seasons as they have been victorious in the last four matches against both teams. The last time SRH defeated DC was in IPL 2020.

Pitch report

When SRH last played here against Mumbai Indians, the pitch was slow and turning at the start. However, as the match progressed, it got better for batting. Looking into this, it is more likely that both teams will be looking to bowl first after winning the toss, as there will also be a chance of dew coming in.
