The IPL 2024 retention is upon us. Notably, the teams have already planned to release some of their players ahead of the auctions for the 17th edition of the league. However, apart from releases, there have been some trades and cash deals that have taken place. Several teams have been involved in trades. In addition, some of them have come off, and others have not.

Some of the biggest news from trades is that Hardik Pandya might return to the Mumbai Indians. Reports suggest that the star all-rounder was released by the Gujarat Titans for a cash deal of INR 15 crore. In addition, Romario Shepherd was the first player whose trade with MI for INR 50 lakh was reported. However, LSG had another deal as they exchanged Avesh Khan with Devdutt Padikkal from the Rajasthan Royals.

However, the official announcement about the same has yet to happen. The deadline for the same is set to be 4 PM (IST) on November 26th. Meanwhile, the total purse money for the teams has been increased by INR 5 crore for the 17th edition of the league. That means teams can now have a total purse of INR 100 crore per edition.
