It was a fascinating day for young India star batter Yashasvi Jaiswal who scored his 2nd Test ton. The 22-year-old had scored his career-best 171 during his debut innings vs West Indies in 2023.
Despite losing his partners at the other end, nothing seemed to faze Jaiswal. With a six against Tom Hartley the young batter reached the triple-figure mark in style. The huge crowd that had come to watch the game cheered Jaiswal as he got to his ton.
In the first Test in Hyderabad, Yashasvi Jaiswal looked set for a big score. After hitting a four at the start of day two, Jaiswal tried to repeat but fell to Joe Root. That changed the course of the game as India could only muster a lead of 190 runs.
Earlier in the day it was India who won the toss and chose to bat first. Rajat Patidar was given his debut to replace KL Rahul who injured himself in the first Test. Kuldeep Yadav was back wearing the whites for India to replace Ravindra Jadeja.
