‘It was insane’ – Suryakumar Yadav hails Glenn Maxwell after his match-winning knock in 3rd T20I vs India

The Australia cricket team won the third T20I against India on November 28 at Guwahati. Following the loss, India’s stand-in skipper, Suryakumar Yadav, heaped praise on Glenn Maxwell for his match-winning knock. Notably, the middle-order batter reveals that their plan was to get out Australian star Maxwell quickly in the game. In addition, the 33-year-old cricketer called Maxwell’s inning insane. The star cricketer was seen defending the bowler’s after their loss against Australia in the third T20I on Tuesday.

Suryakumar Yadav also hailed CSK star opener Ruturaj Gaikwad for his fantastic hundred, which helped them post the great total against Australia in the game. In addition, the Mumbai Indians star also talks about the dew factor, which helped Australia chase down the total.

“The plan was to get Maxi out as quickly as possible. To defend 220 with so much dew, have to give something to the bowlers. Australia were always in the game. Told the boys we’ll try and get him (Maxwell) out quickly but it didn’t happen, it was insane. Axar is an experienced bowler, thought there’s always a chance for an experienced bowler even if it’s a spinner when there’s dew. Very proud of my boys,” Suryakumar Yadav said at the post-match presentation.

“Fantastic knock from Gaikwad, he took the innings deep after I got out. I’ve always said in franchise cricket as well that he’s a special player and the way he batted, he showed it. I’m very proud of my boys. When you’re defending 222 with so much dew, you have to give something to the bowlers,” he added further.
