Team Falcons checks out of PGL CS2 Major European RMR

Published on

The highly decorated Counter Strike 2 line-up for Team Falcons has been eliminated from the European RMR A. This comes after another popular team, Ninjas in Pyjamas, was eliminated from the series.

Fans had some high hopes for a team with Counter-Strike legends like Magisk, SunPayus, and Snappi Captain. However, it seems that the team is currently underperforming. Many believe that this might be due to multiple changes in CS2 since release.

On the upper bracket side, NaVi, Faze and KOI qualified for the PGL Major after defeating their opponents.

Lost their grip after the first match

The team matched up with AMKAL ESPORTS in the round 4 Low Matches. The Falcons lost two matches back to back after a good opening win in a best-of-three elimination match.

The first match saw Falcons dominate AMKAL with a 13-6 victory and the fans were hopeful. However, their opponents turned the tides in the next match, defeating the Falcons with a score of 13-8.

This led to the final match which was pretty intense. After the decider match went to overtime, the Falcons lost three rounds back to back, ending their run at the European RMR with three losses.

As of now, we have six teams standing to face each other in round 5. Three of these teams will secure a spot for PGL Copenhagen Major. The remaining three will have to try their luck through decider brackets.
