Team India have made 436 runs in the first innings of its first Test match against England on January 27 at Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium in Hyderabad. Notably, Rohit Sharma and Co. took the lead by 190 runs after the first innings, and they will be looking to beat the visiting sides in the ongoing Test match.

Speaking of the game, it was England captain Ben Stokes who won the toss and invited the hosts to field first in the game. Notably, after opting to bat first, the visiting sides managed to get 246 runs before getting all out. Meanwhile, English skipper Ben Stokes was the highest scorer for his side, as he went on to score 70 runs from 88 balls to help them post a decent total against a tough home side.

However, during the chase, Team India got off to a great start as Yashasvi Jaiswal hammered 80 runs from 74 balls, featuring 10 boundaries and three sixes with a solid strike rate of 109. Notably, India’s skipper Rohit Sharma also contributed by scoring 24 runs and securing the stand with Jaiswal. In addition, Shubman Gill departed for 23 runs.

However, middle-order batter KL Rahul scored 86 runs, which gave the home side a big boost. Meanwhile, star all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja also hammered 87 runs, helping India post a massive total of 436 runs in the first innings of the first Test match. However, Rohit Sharma and Co. have reduced England to 55/1 in 10 overs of the second innings, but they will be looking to outclass them to win the opening Test match.
