Team India women registered the biggest win over England in a one-off Test match that commenced on December 14 at DY Patil Cricket Stadium in Mumbai. Notably, Harmanpreet Kaur-led Team India won by 347 runs in the Test game, and they will be heading to face the Australian women with greater zeal and enthusiasm.

Speaking about the game here, it was India captain Harmanpreet Kaur, who won the toss and invited the visitors to field first. Notably, after being elected to bat first, the Women in Blue posted a massive total of 428 runs in the first inning, owing to batting brilliance from Jemimah Rodrigues, Yastika Bhatia, and Deepti Sharma. On the other hand, the English team could only pile up 136 runs in the first inning.

However, the home team posted 186 runs in the second inning before declaring their inning. Meanwhile, the Heather Knight-led England side was again all out for just 131 runs, which gave them a massive win in the one-off Test game. India’s great all-rounder, Deepti Sharma, was given the Player of the Match award for her all-rounder performances in the Test game.

Meanwhile, India’s skipper, Harmanpreet Kaur, reveals that it was a great feeling after outclassing the hosts in one off-test game. The 34-year-old cricketer revealed that they had great planning and execution, which made them win the game. Moreover, the great all-rounder hails all her team players, who took responsibility to make sure that team India wins the game.

“Feeling great. We were thinking about how to win the game at the beginning of the match. Everything went according to the plan. It was a plan, we had to execute those plans. We had a couple of days to prepare before the game started. All the players took the responsibility and delivered their best. The first 40 minutes were crucial, as a team we were looking to pick wickets. I know I will get opportunities to score centuries in the future, but winning the game was more important. They knew their plans and they executed them accordingly,” Harmanpreet Kaur said in the post-match presentation.
