‘Tera jamana hi kharab chal rha hai’ – Fans react as Riyan Parag posts a philosophical tweet after another poor show against Gujarat Titans

In the Indian Premier League (IPL), Riyan Parag has frequently demonstrated his ability to smash the ball. He is also capable of finishing off innings, as shown by his IPL record and through many of his statements, he has expressed his desire to do the same for Team India.

However, in IPL 2023, Parag appeared absolutely out of place. Although, the Rajasthan Royals haven’t utilized his bowling, they have relied on him to smash some blistering cameo knocks down the order, but that has not been seen so far.

When Rajasthan took in Parag for INR 3.8 crore in the 2022 mega auction, they showed great trust in him. He then earned the team’s trust by exhibiting a very strong season, earning his retention for the 2023 campaign. However, the 22-year-old has been ineffective in this season so far, scoring just 58 runs in six innings for RR. Due to his recent poor performance, he was removed from the Rajasthan Royals’ starting lineup and wasn’t even named among the Impact Players. On April 19, he played the Lucknow Super Giants for the franchise.

I want to win games for my side: Riyan Paragg

As RR’s innings collapsed on Friday, Parag, who was on the Impact Player list, was brought in into the starting lineup. The Royals made a last-minute decision to go with him after the team’s score was just 63 runs for the loss of four wickets in the eighth over. After falling to Rashid Khan, he eventually made his way back to the pavilion, scoring only four runs off of six balls.

After being dropped from the team, Parag revealed his training sessions with Zubin Bharucha, a former Indian cricketer who is now the High-Performance Director for the Royals, in an interview with the commentators before the start of the game against the defending champions.

“Time to get back to basics for me. I spent some time with Zubin (Bharucha) sir, and haven’t missed practice even once in the last five days,” Parag was quoted as saying before the match.

“(I’ve) Been doing long sessions and strengthening my basics. I’m trying to expand my hitting areas, I generally look to hit straight but now the focus is to try and hit all around the field. Want to keep more options available for me. It’s very simple for me, I want to win games for my side. Whenever I get a chance I’ll try to win a game for RR, because we have got 5 games left and we need to win three to finish top two,” the right hand batter asserted.

After a dismal show against GT, Parag posted a philosophical tweet. Fans came up with numerous reactions on the same. Here’s a look at that:
