‘That’s why he’s saying, Hume India nahi jaana world cup khelne’ – Ramiz Raja says it’s ‘impossible to beat India at home’

India is a very dominant side at home and that shows by their Test record at home. Since 2016, they have lost only two matches at home and have won all the series they have played in. While, on the other hand, Pakistan has lost four Test series at home in the last ten months. This run also includes no wins and only four draws in eight matches that they have played.

India is currently competing with Australia in the four-match Test series for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. India have already retained the Trophy after a dominant performance in both the Test matches in Delhi and Nagpur. India would be hoping for a clean sweep in the Test series after they complete wins in Indore and Ahmedabad. It would be a big obstacle for Australia to win a Test match in such testing conditions against an in-form opposition.

What did Ramiz Raja talk about the Indian Cricket Team?

Ramiz Raja, the former Pakistan Cricket Board President, has spoken on his YouTube channel about how tough it is to beat India in India. He said, “How Australia’s match has finished, similarly, Aussies used to finish games against sub-continent teams in Perth or Brisbane. The tables have turned. It shows that Australia are not prepared, especially when it comes to playing good Test cricket in India. It’s impossible to beat Team India in India. An ordinary performance against spin. Nine wickets were dismissed in one session. Jadeja produced an excellent bowling performance.”

Ramiz then spoke about the Australian team’s batting as well as how they were not able to gain a sizable first innings lead in the second Test. He said, “The clincher was Axar Patel’s batting. Given the circumstances, he scored 60-70 runs. He shared a partnership with Ashwin when Australia could have got a sizable lead. That’s because Australia was not mentally strong and there are technical flaws. Their batting against spin is disastrous. They played wrong shots, sweep shots, and ruckus batting.”
