Donning the Indian jersey is a dream of many and only some get to experience it. They are always thinking about representing India in all formats, putting on incredible performances for their team, and being remembered as one of the best in the game. The Indian cricket team has produced some high-profile players who have made significant contributions to the game.

Only a few Indian cricketers have played 50 or more international matches across all formats of the game (Tests, ODIs, and T20Is). This needs consistency and discipline throughout any player’s career. 

Here are the five Indian players:

5. KL Rahul

In the ongoing match against England, Rahul played his 50th match for India. Since 2023, Rahul has been in great form and has helped India recover from crises. Recently, in the first match against Australia in the ODI World Cup, he scored an unbeaten 97 runs which got India off to a good start. KL Rahul has played 50 test matches, 75 ODIs, and 72 T20Is for India at the international level. He made his international debut against Zimbabwe in 2016.

4. Rohit Sharma

Rohit Sharma has played 54 tests, 262 ODIs, and 151 T20Is for India. In 2007, he made his international debut against Ireland in an ODI. Rohit was named captain of the team in 2021, after Virat Kohli. Moreover, he joined the ranks of Indian players who have played more than 50 international matches across all formats. 

3. Ravindra Jadeja

Ravindra Jadeja is also among the Indian cricketers who have played more than 50 matches in all formats of the game. Ravindra Jadeja made his international debut against Sri Lanka in 2008 and has since played 68 tests, 197 ODIs, and 66 T20Is for India. Jadeja has taken over 500 international wickets for Team India in all forms.

2. MS Dhoni

MS Dhoni, the former Indian captain, had an exceptional cricketing career for India, winning numerous prestigious titles. MS Dhoni made his international debut against Bangladesh in 2004, at the age of 23. Throughout his 15-year career, Dhoni played 90 tests, 350 ODIs, and 98 T20Is. Dhoni also led the Indian team in more than 50 matches across all formats of the game. Dhoni led India in 60 tests, 200 ODIs, and 73 Twenty20 Internationals.

Virat Kohli, the star Indian batter, has also played over 50 international matches in all formats of the game. He made his international debut against Sri Lanka in 2008 and has since been a consistent presence in the Indian camp. Kohli’s career totals include 113 tests, 292 ODIs, and 117 T20Is. Virat Kohli is the second Indian player to lead his team in over 50 games. He captained India in 68 tests, 95 ODIs, and 50 T20Is.
