Top five batters with most runs in ODIs
One of the most well-liked cricket formats is one-day international cricket. Unlike Test cricket, it is a restricted overs format with a cap of 50 overs for each innings. It used to be limited to 55–60 overs. As of right present, Rohit Sharma holds the ODI cricket record for the most runs scored in an innings (264).
In the history of ODI cricket, Sachin Tendulkar was the first player to score a double century. The highest margin for the victory is 317 runs which were registered by India against Sri Lanka on Sunday, January 15, at the Greenfield International Stadium, Thiruvananthapuram in the third and final ODI.

5. Virat Kohli (India) – 12,754* Runs
On the fifth number comes India’s run machine Virat Kohli. He has code 12754 runs till now. He made his International debut in 2008 after winning the under-19 World Cup. He has batted at a strike rate of over 93 and has an average of above 59 Hindi limited overs format. He has 64 fifties and 46 centuries against his name. In 50 over format, his highest score is 183 runs which came against arch-rivals in Pakistan in the Asia Cup.
4. Sanath Jaysuriya (Sri Lanka) – 13430 Runs
On the fourth number comes the Sri Lanka legend opener Sanath Jayasuriya. He made his International debut in 1989 and retired in 2011. The left-hand opener has code 13430 runs in his International career with the highest score of 189 runs. He scored these runs at a strike rate of over 91 and his average was above 32.
3. Ricky Ponting (Australia) – 13,704 Runs
On the third number comes the former Australian skipper Ricky Ponting. He made his international debut in 1995 and took retirement in the year 2012. He scored a total of 13,704 runs in his International career at a strike rate of over 80 and with an average of above 42. His highest score in ODI is 164 runs. Australia has won three ODI World cups under his leadership.
2. Kumar Sangakkara (Sri Lanka) – 14,234 Runs
Formal Sri Lanka skipper Kumar Sangakkara comes at the second spot when it comes to top run-getters in ODI cricket. He made his International debut in 2000 and took retirement in 2015. He scored a total of 14234 runs with the highest score of 169 runs. He scored these runs at a strike rate of over 78 and had an average of almost 42.

Sachin Tendulkar also known as the ‘God of Cricket’ and a man full of records comes on the first number when it comes to top run-getters in the ODI format. Hey, my days International debuted in 1989 and got retired in 2012. Skoda total of 18426 runs at a strike rate of over 86 and had an average of around 45. His highest score in ODI is Anand beaten knock of 200 against South Africa at Gwalior.
