In addition, right-arm pacer Mohammed Siraj also removed star pacer Shaheen Shah Afridi to place himself as the number one ODI bowler in the latest rankings. On the other hand, Team India also places at the top spot in the ODI rankings owing to their magnificent performances in the ongoing marquee event, with eight out of eight wins still so far in the event.

Notably, Shubman Gill has been a very consistent batsman and has shattered multiple records this year. The star opening batsman played a crucial 92-run knock against Sri Lanka on November 2 at Wankhede Cricket Stadium. India’s great pacer Mohammed Siraj was also the number one ODI bowler when he defeated Sri Lanka in the Asia Cup final. However, Mohammed Siraj bounced back to retain his number-one spot in the recent rankings.

Speaking about India’s campaign, Rohit Sharma and Co. will be facing the Netherlands in their last game of the league stage of the ODI World Cup 2023, slated to take place on November 12 at the M. Chinnaswamy Cricket Stadium in Bangalore. Regardless of the win or the loss, Team India will finish the journey as the top team and play the first semi-final game of the big tournament.
