VCT EMEA Kickoff; Group stage overview

The opening matches for Group Stage have concluded with Heretics, NaVi and Vitality currently reigning on top. Apart from the opening matches, Group A has also concluded its Winners Match and Elimination Match.

Winners Match

After defeating FUT Esports in the opening match, Team Heretics secured another dominating victory over Karmine Corp. The match was played as a best-of-three, with Heretics stopping Karmine Corp in just four rounds. Both matches ended with a scoreline of 13-4.

Group B Winners Match is set to take place on February 23 between NaVi and Team Liquid, who won their opening matches. Group C will see Team Vitality against Fnatic who previously received a bye.

Elimination Match

The Elimination Match saw FUT Esports go against GIANTX with both teams performing decent on their map picks. FUT secured the first match, while GIANTX managed to take back the second. The decider match finally ended the struggle, with FUT Esports securing the win and GIANTX eliminated.

Group B will see BBL Esports against KOI. Both of them lost their opening matches and one will be eliminated on February 23. The final group will go directly to the decider match, as there were only three teams in the group.

The winner from each group will go directly to the Playoffs while the teams in the second spot will land on Play-in. The bottom two teams will be eliminated from Groups A and B. As for Group C, only one elimination will take place after the group stages.
