With just a few days left, all the cricket teams are gearing up for the ODI World Cup 2023, which is all set to commence on October 5. Notably, the Pakistan team will be looking to bounce back in the upcoming marquee event after losing in the Super Fours of the Asia Cup 2023. In addition, the Men in Green are all set to reach the host country, India, on September 27 for the big tournament, where they will face the Netherlands on October 6 to commence their journey.

Meanwhile, Babar Azam and Co. will be facing New Zealand on September 29 and Australia on October 2 for the warm-up matches ahead of the major tournament. According to reports, there will be no crowd at the stadium for the New Zealand vs. Pakistan warm-up match, which is slated to take place on September 29 at Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium in Hyderabad. In addition, Indian Cricket Board officials have confirmed that the amount will be refunded to people who have booked their tickets to witness the match at the stadium.

“The game will be played without spectators and those who have booked their tickets, their money will be refunded,” Indian Cricket Board official confirmed.

The Hyderabad Cricket Association has confirmed that there will not be enough security as India’s set to celebrate Ganesh Ji Visarjan and Milan-Un-Nabi on September 28, which is just a day before the warm-up fixture. In addition, the sources confirmed that the fans would experience the match during the ODI World Cup 2023.

“There has been a discussion, but unfortunately, enough security can’t be provided with the Ganesh Visarjan and Milan-Un-Nabi that fall on September 28. We are in touch with the BCCI and we are confident of conducting the World Cup matches,” top source from the Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA) said.
