Team India is all set to lock horns against Sri Lanka for their seventh game of the ODI World Cup 2023 on November 2 at the iconic Wankhede Cricket Stadium in Mumbai. Notably, after that, they will be facing a strong South African side on November 5 at Eden Gardens in Kolkata. However, India’s batting master Virat Kohli is turning 35 on the same day. The stylish right-handed batsman played an imperative role in guiding India’s win in the first half of the marquee event.

According to reports, the Cricket Association of Bengal has made some magnificent plans to celebrate Virat Kohli’s birthday in front of the packed ground on November 5. Notably, Cricket Association of Bengal President Snehasish Ganguly revealed that they had ordered the cake for the modern-day batting master; however, he denied revealing further information as it was set to be a surprise for the fans and players.

“We have ordered a cake for Virat, and the design will be something everyone identifies with Virat Kohli. I am not sharing the pictures yet, for let that be a surprise,” CAB president Snehasish Ganguly was quoted as saying by the publication.

Snehasish Ganguly, who is the elder brother of legendary cricketer and former India captain Sourav Ganguly, affirms that they had planned some wonderful fireworks during the mid-inning break for former India skipper Virat Kohli as well as for the fans in the stadium. Notably, the entire Kolkata crowd is set to be part of his birthday celebrations. Moreover, the president is quite sure that the stadium will be packed with every single fan of Virat Kohli.

“We plan to host a fireworks show during the mid-innings interval for Virat and the crowd. It will be our way of celebrating his birthday, and our way of saying that the entire Kolkata crowd are part of the celebrations. We are sure of a full house and everyone in the stands is a Virat fan. It is a gesture on behalf of all of them,” he added further.
