‘Vo World Cup ke bad dekh lena’ – Fans react as former West Indies cricketer says India skipper Rohit Sharma is a great leader

Rohit Sharma and Co. are gearing up to win the upcoming ODI World Cup as the hosts. Notably, the Men in Blue last clinched the Champions Trophy in 2013 under the captaincy of legendary cricketer MS Dhoni. Notably, this time India skipper Rohit Sharma has a great chance to win the major title on their home soil.

Meanwhile, speaking on the same subject, former West Indies cricketer Curtly Ambrose feels India skipper Rohit Sharma is a great leader owing to his calm behaviour on the field, irrespective of the situation. Notably, the former bowler feels the opening batter needs the support of the rest of the players to win the games against any opponents.

“I do like his style of captaincy. I like his calm demeanor. Even if the team isn’t doing well, he doesn’t show it. He is always very cool and calm, which is very good for a leader. Once he’s got the support of the rest of the team, they are going to be okay,” Curtly Ambrose said on RevSportz.

Moreover, the legendary cricketer feels the Men in Blue have a great chance to win the upcoming ODI World Cup as the Indians very well know their home conditions as compared to any other team. In addition, the 59-year-old believes that Rohit Sharma’s side still needs to play well, as other teams have often toured India. Furthermore, the former right-arm pacer says team India should not take their home ground for granted; otherwise, they can lose the game if they do not play well.

“The World Cup is being played in India. No other cricket nation knows the conditions better in India better than India. So, that is a start. However, they still have to play and play well because all other cricketing nations have toured India before. They know the conditions as well, so home advantage is not something you can take for granted because if you don’t play well you can lose,” he added further.
