‘Want Dhoni bhai in cameo’ – Fans react as MS Dhoni owned production house announces first-ever film in Tamil

MS Dhoni, the former Indian captain, is hitting on the nets ahead of the Indian T20 League 2023 and on January 27, Friday, Dhoni Entertainment Private Limited, the production house owned by the former Indian cricketer, announced their first film in Tamizh starting renowned actors Harish Kalyan and actress Ivana.

To add more, the film is named ‘Let’s Get Married’ and is expected to hit the screens later this year. Having ventured into the film industry, the fans, who went crazy over the same, left no stone unturned to wish the talented batter for his first production. Known for his huge fan base in Chennai and across Tamil Nadu state, one could understand that the film might attract audiences just for Dhoni alone.

However, Harish boasts a good film record in Kollywood and this might come as a boon for Dhoni, who is now aiming at the cinema industry. Fans were keen about the title of the movie when the news broke out on Thursday as it is the first-ever attempt for Dhoni Entertainment in the movie industry.

Can MS Dhoni lead Chennai to glory in Indian T20 League 2023?

That being said, Dhoni would hope to turn things around in the upcoming edition and with Ben Stokes in the squad, Chennai have a pretty strong squad. Given that they failed to make it to the playoffs in 2022, the Dhoni-led team would hope to make a comeback in the approaching season, which could be the former Indian captain’s last season.

The 41-year-old might pass on the baton to Stokes, Moeen Ali or Ajinkya Rahane post-retirement and it could be the start of a new era for the Chennai team who flaunt a great record in the highly-competitive tournament. However, Dhoni might look to finish it on a high and eventually aim at the trophy for the fifth time, matching Mumbai’s record.
